The Live Trainboard transforms real Swiss railway data into a moving LED artwork. Connected to live open transport data, it shows trains traveling across Switzerland in real time. Turning mobility, engineering, and design into one captivating object.

On the board, 310 LEDs illuminate the Swiss railway network. Powered by our in-house software, the Live Trainboard processes live train locations and delays, then refreshes every minute over Wi-Fi.

It is not just a map. It is Swiss mobility, alive on your wall.

Choose how you want to watch the network.

• Live Mode: See trains move across Switzerland in real time, with each line displayed in its own color. You can have a look at the color coding and live trains here: https://api.trainboard.ch/

• Rewind Mode: Replay the last 45 minutes of train movements with a simple press of the board’s button.

• Delay View: Check punctuality at a glance. Trains are color-coded by delay:

  • Green– On time

  • Orange– 2-5 minutes late

  • Red– More than 5 minutes late
